Community Service Program

Our Community Service Program gives students the chance to roll up their sleeves and make a real difference – right in their own neighborhood. Once a month, they come together to take on meaningful projects, like mowing lawns, clearing trash, and tidying up abandoned lots. We also lend a helping hand to elderly and disabled community members, making sure their yards and outdoor spaces are cared for with dignity and respect.

But it’s not just about cleaning up – it’s about lifting spirits and building pride. Students plant flowers, paint over graffiti, and bring new life to spaces that need it most. Along the way, they’re picking up basic job skills, learning how to work in teams, and seeing firsthand the impact of their efforts.

We also provide two meals, snacks, and a stipend to every student who participates – because we believe service and self-care go hand in hand. Each student takes part in our Financial Literacy and Money Management Summit to better understand how money works and how to manage what they earn.

And we’re dreaming even bigger. In the upcoming season, we hope to plant a community garden – growing fresh vegetables for our students, their families, and neighbors. It’s all part of building a stronger, more connected community, one step at a time.
