Next Steps College Assistance

College can be exciting but for many students, especially those from low-income households, it can also feel overwhelming. Our Next Steps program is here to bridge that gap and make sure recent Westwood High School graduates have the essentials they need to start college strong.

Each year, depending on available funding, we provide sponsorships that cover things like dorm room basics, monthly necessities, food assistance, and even tutoring services. It’s not just about gear; it’s about making sure students feel supported in the classroom and in life.

But our support doesn’t stop at move-in day. We stay connected with each student throughout their college journey, offering mentorship, encouragement, and guidance along the way. Once they graduate, we help open doors by connecting them with recruiters from local agencies and organizations who can assist in landing that first job after college.

From the first day on campus to the first steps into the working world, Next Steps is designed to walk alongside students providing real help, meaningful connection, and the belief that they’re never in it alone.
